blog post final stuff

This post has met the requirement/standards of the rubric, because it has connections to imagery, and provides real quotes.  It also provides real quotes from the book and examples of imagery, and how the author uses it to help create the setting.  It also has pictures of the setting, which helps with the imagery and setting part of the post.
My goals for the next trimester are to blog more and get better at blogging while I’m reading, not after I’m done reading.  My other goal is to read more books because it will help me learn better.  I want to improve better with my writing because it will help me later on with school.  My areas for improvement are my writing skills and understanding of reading.  The writing skills I need improvement on are my diction and wording, also I need to work on my connections.

I am still reading, "House of Hades". The setting of the book is in present day Greece.  I know this because the author states that the must head to Greece.  This is said at the beginning of the book when they were at Rome, Italy.
 Rome. Italy

 Greece

 distance from Rome to Greece
That is the path they are taking but there are obstacles that they have to go around

They use imagery in the book to extend the moments and make them more suspenseful.  This is shown through capitalization, sentence structure, and figurative language/dialogue.  An example of this is, "Black and green spots appeared in his vision and a bunch of air leaked through his lungs." This shows imagery through word choice, because, words like leaked make you visualize the scene better.

blog post

Im reading a new book called, "House of Hades" it is written by Rick Riordan.  Im not far into the book and i have already noticed connections between This and the TV show, "The Walking Dead."  A connection i found between them is that they are getting chased by a group of people, that have much more numbers than them, and they have one friend in the opposite group trying to bring peace.  Another connection i found is that whenever one of them gets away from the rest of the group, they end up getting caught in a trap.  An example of them both getting caught is that in the book, Nico gets separated from the group and he gets caught in a trap made by giants, and in Walking Dead, T-bone gets separated from the group and gets caught in a zombie trap and gets eaten.  This is a good book and i reccommend you reading it
